Andrews wins national award

Lisa Andrews of Fayetteville is the 2003 winner of the Great Comeback Award, a national award bestowed jointly by the Crohn’s & Colitis Foundation of America and ConvaTec, a world leader in ostomy and modern wound and skin care products.

The award annually recognizes a person’s battle to overcome ostomy surgery and/or inflammatory bowel disease.

After submitting an application and describing her own battle with IBD, Andrews was selected last April and presented the award in Chicago in November at the annual CCFA conference. She also spoke to groups in Cincinnati and Las Vegas last year about her experiences.
