Animal rescue thrills neighbors A weeklong adventure for a cat in Windalier Ridge ended happily, thanks to some concerned neighbors and a local tree service. Some children in the Windalier Ridge community first heard Baby the black cat crying on a Monday afternoon. The animal was stuck very high in a tree, above the roof lines of the two-story houses in the area. A number of suggestions for rescue were exhausted, and after several days of rain, wind and cold, the cat was still in the tree Saturday morning when Will Jackson of Eager Beaver Tree Service arrived. Jackson staked the skinny pine tree Baby was sitting in to a larger pine tree and climbed the latter. Baby was weak and dehydrated but happy to be rescued, according to reports. The cat’s owners were found that same day. Taking time out on his busiest day of the week, Jackson would not accept any money for the rescue. What do you think of this story?
