Cline heading to LSU on scholarship Kristen Joanna Cline, a senior at McIntosh High School and daughter of Kim and Claudia Cline of Peachtree City, has been named the recipient of a Louisiana State University School of Music and Dramatic Arts Scholarship. The LSU School of Music is ranked among the top in the United States. Cline was invited to audition for admission to the SOM and was notified of successful completion of her audition for admission and scholarship consideration. She is a vocal student of Dr. Franklin Green of Sharpsburg, and a soprano with the McIntosh Singers Select Chorus. She has participated in the GMEA District 6 Honor Chorus for eight consecutive years and with the GMEA All-State Chorus. During the years she has been a member of the McIntosh Singers they have performed for both GMEA and ACDA conventions and with the Georgia Ballet Company. An honor student, Cline is a member of the National Honor Society, Beta Club, Key Club and Student Government. She has been a Class of 2004 class representative for four years and served as the Junior Class President. She was also a four-year varsity starter on the McIntosh softball team and was twice named Defensive Player of the Year and listed among the top 20 players in Fayette County. She has spent the last eight summers playing competitive softball with travel clubs. Cline plans to attend LSU in the fall of 2004 and will pursue a double major in vocal performance and business. In addition to the four-year financial award at LSU, she was also named a Lads to Leaders National Scholarship recipient to David Lipscomb University.
