Liquor vote headed to court By JOHN THOMPSON Sharpsburg residents could learn next week whether liquor will be flowing in their East Coweta hamlet. Last Tuesday, voters in the town defeated the liquor by the drink proposition by a 31-30 county. But in researching the vote, town officials think as many as 10 of the ballots may have been cast by residents who live outside the towns boundaries, said assistant town clerk Donna Camp. The hearing is set for 2 p.m. next Wednesday in Coweta County Superior Court and officials are not sure what will happen in the case. One possibility is the election may have to be held again. Residents in unincorporated Coweta County passed liquor by the drink last week, and officials said restaurants could end up mixing martinis by this summer.
