| Wednesday, March 10, 2004 Cedar Grove Village selling well The Knight Group has already recorded 35 new home sales in Cedar Grove Village, its 350-acre development in South Fulton County. Cedar Grove Village, the company’s largest development since it was founded in 1978, is located on Cedar Grove Road northeast of South Fulton Parkway. The community is six miles from I-85 and eight miles from I-285. In addition as serving as developer, The Knight Group is also building at least half of the homes in the community with prices from the low $130,000s to the mid-$150,000s. The swim/tennis community will have a total of 620 homes, and the other builder there is Sharon McSwain Homes. Phase I consists of 278 homes, and 80 homes are either completed or under construction. Sixteen different plans, including ranch, two-story and split foyer designs, are being offered by The Knight Group. A number of basement homesites are available. Each home contains a long list of special features, many of which are considered upgrades in other communities in this price range. These include hardwood foyers, a choice of upgraded lighting packages, energy-saving aluminum windows, Category 5 wiring, and security wiring on doors and windows, 42-in. kitchen cabinets, a fireplace with a gas starter, a garbage disposal, and a garden or jacuzzi tub and separate shower in the master bath (per plan). Exteriors are of vinyl siding, with Hardiplank available as an upgrade, and other options include brick stacked store or stucco accents. Over 5,000 sq. ft. of each yard is sodded, which includes the front and the sides. Homes are covedred by the Quality Builders Corporation 2-10 Warranty. The development will have 120 acres of green space, and amenities will include swim/tennis facilities, a waterslide and a clubhouse.
