Hampton Inn to locate at Fayetteville’s Villages

Fayetteville will be getting a second hotel in the downtown area now that the Hampton Inn is set to come to the Villages at LaFayette Park mixed-use development.

The 77-room hotel will be located on Meeting Place Drive, the main entrance to the development on Ga. Highway 54, said developer Bob Rolader.

Rolader had discussions with several hotel companies about the site, but said the Hampton Inn “seemed to be the best fit” for the Villages.

Construction is expected to begin in summer and take roughly nine months, Rolader said.

A possible hotel was indicated in the original plans approved by the city for the Villages. The plans also call for a mix of uses from commercial and office use to residential use for homes and townhouses.

The Villages also has the city’s amphitheater, which is located next to Fayette County High School. The high school uses the venue from time to time, and amphitheater patrons park in the high school parking lot for concerts and other events because they are held when school is not open.
