Math extravaganza nears

Fairburn's Campbell Elementary School is proud to announce its second annual "Math Extravaganza Day."  The event is April 2 at 8:30 a.m. Parents, community members, and Fulton County central office staff are encouraged to attend this day-long mathematical learning event.

Students in grades kindergarten through 5th will rotate through math learning centers throughout the entire day. Activities will be based upon manipulatives, problem solving, and technology. Real-life mathematical situations will be presented to the students for examination and problem solving. There will also be several "game show" type activities where students will practice test-taking skills in the area of math. An essay contest is also planned in which students will write an essay on the importance of math.

Campbell's "Math Extravaganza Day" is intended to help students think mathematically to solve problems and become productive citizens in the work force.  Improving math achievement is a goal of Campbell Elementary School. Campbell Elementary School is located at 91 Elder Street in Fairburn.
