FCH welcomes back Hedenstrom

Fayette Community Hospital has announced the return of Lisa Hedenstrom, RN, MSN, MBA, CNAA, as vice president of patient care services and chief nursing officer. Hedenstrom served as executive coordinator of nursing services at FCH since early 2002, before moving to Warner Robins for family reasons in June 2003.

“We are pleased that Lisa’s family situation has changed, allowing her to return to Fayette Community Hospital,” said Darrell Cutts, president and CEO of FCH. “We’re already familiar with her commitment to excellence and dedication to our patients.”

While in Warner Robins, Hedenstrom worked as chief nurse executive at Houston Healthcare, which includes Houston Medical Center and Perry Hospital. Prior to coming to FCH in 2002, her healthcare career spanned 14 years in metro Atlanta hospitals.

“I appreciate the opportunity to return to Fayette Community Hospital,” Hedenstrom said. “I am looking forward to working with such a wonderful organization and staff.”

Hedenstrom received her MSN at the Medical College of Georgia and her MBA at Brenau University. She is a member of the American Organization of Nurse Executives, the American College of Healthcare Executives, GHA Georgia Organization of Nurse Leaders on which she serves as a Board member, and the VHA Georgia CNO Council.

Hedenstrom has a strong commitment to the community through volunteerism with the American Cancer Society and American Heart Association. She and her husband, Todd, are relocating to Fayette County with their four children.
