Animal Shelter receives grant Fulton County Animal Services, operated by the Southern Hope Humane Society, has been awarded a $9,850 grant for veterinary equipment. The grant, one of several given each year by PETsMART Charities, will be used to purchase equipment to spay/neuter pets at the animal shelter. Currently, animals are transported to an off-site veterinarians office for the procedures. New equipment will include an autoclave, a surgical table, an anesthesia machine, a microscope, a centrifuge and other surgical equipment.
