The Fayette County Chamber of Commerce is expected to name an interim president soon, as former president Elissa Hall was recently relieved of her duties.

Chairman Vicki Turner confirmed Thursday that Hall was no longer at the Chamber, but could not say much more on the subject.

“Because of the terms of her severance, we really can’t say anything,” she said.

Calls to the Chamber also revealed that Hall was no longer employed there, but no one would comment on the issue.

Turner did say the Chamber would have information soon on the group’s interim president.

Hall’s dismissal comes less than a month after the Chamber’s annual banquet and installation of new officers.
