Ligia Baena

Ligia Baena, 66, Fayetteville, died Jan. 30, 2004. She was born July 15, 1937 in Colombia, South America. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Father Jimmy Adams and the Rev. Augenio Gasparico officiating. Survivors include children, Alvaro and Matilde Baena, Houston. Texas, Ricardo and Donna Baena, Fayetteville; Consuelo and Ralph Rose, Lufkin, Texas; Grandchildren, Monica, Javier, Ashley, Andrea, Jennifer, Kristian, Evelyn, Bryan, Carolina, Clarke, Nikki, Cynthia, Jacob, and Christopher; stepfather, Pablo Vargas, New York; and a sister, Alcira Quiroz, New York. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.

Leo Earl Kelly

Leo Earl Kelly, 75, Fayetteville, died Feb. 6, 2004. He was born June 15, 1929 in Knoxville, Tenn. Memorial services were at Carl J. Mowell chapel with Chaplain Roan officiating. Survivors include his wife, Elisabeth Knoll Kelly, Fayetteville; a son, Robert and Dena Kelly; a daughter, Susan Fagan-Hardy and husband, Mike Hardy; grandchildren, Colleen Kelly-Fagan, and Evan Michael Hardy; a cousin, Roy and Annette Ellis; and an aunt, Louise Kennedy. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.

Walter Harold Nolan

Walter Harold Nolan, 73, Fayetteville, died Feb. 8, 2004. He was born Aug. 21, 1930 in Fulton County. Graveside services were at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park, with the Rev. Bobby Carpenter and the Rev. Herschel Turner officiating. Survivors include his wife, Mary Lee Phillips Nolan, Fayetteville; sons, Walter Nolan, Fayetteville, and Danny Nolan, Dallas, Ga.; a daughter, Pam Brown, Griffin; five grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; a brother, Ricky Nolan, Fayetteville; and sisters, Frances Davis, Cummings, and Betty Miller, Red Oak. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.

Corbin Allen Cochran

Infant Corbin Allen Cochran, two months, died Feb. 10, 2004. He was born Nov. 26, 2003 in Clayton County. Services were at Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Dennis Watson officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include his parents, Kevin and Brandy Cochran, Fayetteville; and grandparents, Kerry and Mattie Cochran, Sherrie King, Peggy Cochran, and Roy and Barbara Sams. Carl J. Ralph Eugene Powers

Ralph Eugene Powers, 57, Peachtree City, died Feb. 11, 2004. He was born Sept. 14, 1946 in Minneapolis, Minn. He was a member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel, Peachtree City with interment at Arlington National Cemetery, Virginia. Survivors include daughters, Amber and Robert Bennett, Peachtree City, Jaton Enoch, Virginia Beach, Va.; grandchildren, Ryan Bennett and Anzley Bennett, both of Peachtree City, and Elizabeth Ann Wirt, Gainesville, Ga.; a brother, Ron Powers, Minneapolis, Minn.; and a sister, Carol Dirks, Surprise, Ariz. Donal M. Hogg

Donal M. Hogg, 75, Fayetteville, died Feb. 13, 2004. He was born July 9, 1928 in Fulton County, Ga. He was employed at the Stonewall Sub Station for 38 years. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Knox Herndon officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include his wife, Betty Moyer Hogg, Fayetteville; a son, Roger Hogg, Hampton; daughters, Donna and Harvey Sussman, Jacksonville, Fla., and Brenda Saunders, Pilot Mountain, N. C.; grandchildren, Mark, Sloane, Ryan, Seane, Melissa, Stephanie, Bobby, and Gary; and a daughter-in-law, Wanda Hogg, Brooks. Memorial donations may be made to Cross Point Healthcare, 770-683-5510.
