Habitat for Humanity wins grant

Habitat for Humanity of South Fulton (HFHSF) thanks in large part to Delta Air Lines, has won a $25,000 grant from the Aluminum Association for its superb recycling efforts through Cans for Habitat.

Cans for Habitat is a recycling program sponsored by the Aluminum Association that donates proceeds from recycled aluminum cans to build homes for families in need.

“We’re delighted to be one of the top three winners of Cans for Habitat’s annual grant as we now have the chance to provide more families in need with a place to call home, “ HFHSF’s Development Director Lisa Bushy, said. “We’re grateful to one of our major partners, Delta Air Lines, and are proud to be ‘agents of change’ in our South Fulton community.”

“Delta Air Lines is privileged to have had the opportunity to help Habitat for Humanity of South Fulton build homes by donating a percentage of our aluminum can proceeds from our domestic flights. It was an honor to be part of the rewarding Cans for Habitat program,” said Ann Papayoti, project manager - global diversity & community affairs. “We’re so proud of Habitat for Humanity of South Fulton for winning the $25,000 grant and for always having a CAN-do attitude.”
