Fred unveils concert lineup By JOHN THOMPSON Officials at the Frederick J. Brown Amphitheater announced their Series One concert series this morning and some old friends are slated to make a comeback this year. The Peachtree City amphitheater is celebrating its 10th year, and is hosting several of the communitys favorites back to the cozy venue this year. According to Pollstar.com, these are the acts confirmed to play Peachtree City this year: Paul Anka, May 7-8. The Beach Boys, May 21-22. America, June 4-5. The Smothers Brothers, June 18-19. The Doobie Brothers, July 30-31. Creedence Clearwater Revisited, Sept. 24-25. The last two acts will likely be in the second-half concert series, which will be announced in a couple of months. The amphitheater has traditionally brought five acts to town for each half of the series. According to the amphitheaters Web site, the first concerts of the season are tentatively scheduled for April 23-24. For more information on this mornings announcements, visit www.thecitizennews.com.
