Jernigan named Agent of the Year

For the 13th time, Myra Jernigan has been named Agent of the Year fo Century 21 Scarbrough Properties.

She has explained her success this way: “It is not only my job, it is my joy.”

The year 2003 was a banner one for her, with several other honors bestowed. Two were from Century 21 — she was named a Premier Agent, one of only a handful of such awards throughout the country, and also a charter member of the Century 21 Honor Society, which is reserved for agents having earned the Centurion Award five or more times.

“Myra is the prototype for new agents at Scarbrough Properties,” said Carolyn McCullough, the company’s managing broker. “Her career of exemplary service is one for which all Realtors should aspire. She is active in listing and selling properties in south Fulton, Fayette and Coweta counties. Her repeat business is indicative of great business relationships she has established through the years.”

A native of south Fulton and current resident of Sharpsburg, she also holds a number of professional accreditations including Graduate, Realtor Institute and Certified Residential Specialist. She is a holder of the Phoenix Award, presented by the Fayette County Board of Realtors, symbolizing 10 years of $1 million or more in closed sales volume.

Her husband is Dr. C.A. Jernigan, professor at Emmanuel Baptist Seminary and pastor of Arnco Baptist Church in Newnan. The couple has four children and eight grandchildren. A daughter, Phoebe Williams, works as Myra Jernigan’s full-time licensed assistant.
