Blackmon named to head WCR chapter

Brayson Homes has continued its record of community involvement with the election of one of its representatives as a top officer of a Realtors group.

Sherry Stone Blackmon, the company’s on-site agent in North Square at Avery Park in Newnan, is the new president-elect of the Women’s Council of Realtors’ Fayette County chapter.

“Brayson Homes has a long record of service to its community, and we also encourage our representatives to become involved in both community and professional organizations,” said Bray Deavours, the company’s CEO. “We’re really proud of what Sherry has done and what she will continue to do with the Women’s Council of Realtors.”

Blackmon, who has been in real estate since August of 2001, is licensed with The Home Source Realtors and has been representing Brayson Homes at North Square since August of 2002. During 2003, she has served as secretary of the Fayette WCR chapter.

The seven-year total of contributions to the Georgia Transplant Foundation comes to over $743,000.

Gwinnett-based Brayson Homes, which was founded in 1977, has sold over 7,500 new homes during its 27-year history. The company is active in Gwinnett, DeKalb, South Fulton, Clayton, Coweta, Newton, Paulding and Henry County markets and will soon be building in Spalding and Douglas counties.

The Brayson Homes group of builders is one of only a few of the 13,000 builders in the more than 20-year history of the 2-10 Home Buyers Warranty Program to receive the prestigious Diamond Builder award for quality construction and customer service.

The company has earned awards in the prestigious Professionalism Competition sponsored by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and the Sales & Marketing Council.
