Maple Shade welcomes first new homeowners

North Peachtree City’s newest subdivision, Maple Shade, recently welcomed its first new homeowners.

Located across from the new Crabapple Elementary School and a stone’s throw from the Peachtree Parkway-Ga. Highway 74 intersection, Maple Shade offers custom homes on 46 one-acre lots in a cozy, child-friendly neighborhood setting. Currently, 13 homes are in various stages of construction, with more planned to begin soon. According to developer, Highland Development, a few lots remain but are going fast.

Freeman-Heath builders, Todd Freeman, Steve Freeman, Sr. and J.D. Heath, recently completed a custom home for Mark and Tandi Weiss and family. The spacious home has many special features and is representative of the types of homes planned for the new neighborhood.

“Maple Shade is in a wonderful location and will prove to be a premier neighborhood in the area,” said Freeman.

The Weisses are very pleased with the home and the neighborhood atmosphere.

“The entire process has been a joy, from lot selection to house plan development and throughout the building process. Freeman-Heath and their subcontractors have been great to deal with. I recommend them to anyone wanting a quality custom home,” said Mark Weiss, father of three and the happy new homeowner.

“Todd and his team are wonderful people and we’ve all become good friends through the process,” said Tandi. “Our close friends the Berry’s, Crawford’s and Widfeldt’s are also building in here and we’re excited to have so many kids in the area.”

Special features in the new home include spacious bedrooms, gourmet kitchen, master suite with owner’s retreat, three fireplaces, a screened porch/deck combo, state-of-the-art security system, four garages and a large sod yard. Custom features added by the new owners include an in ground pool, intercom/music system, and an indoor batting cage (yes, a batting cage). The two boys play travel baseball and will be able to hit and pitch year-round by themselves and with teammates and dad.

Local Keller Williams Realty agents Steve Freeman, Susan Annis, and Sheila Carlisle handled the transaction on behalf of Freeman-Heath and the new owners. Freeman-Heath owners Steve Freeman, Sr., J.D. Heath and Todd Freeman closely supervised and participated in the entire building process making sure everything met their strict requirements for quality and workmanship.

There are several spec homes in late stages of construction inMaple Shade, as well as home sites still available for sale. Freeman-Heath has two other homes, marketed by Susan Annis and Steve Freeman with Keller Williams Realty, available in the neighborhood, and several builders also have homes under construction.

Homes in Maple Shade are priced in the $500’s, with the remaining lots priced in the $90,000 range. With the New Year and favorable weather, there has been a flurry of construction activity in the area. Current Peachtree City homeowners and prospective new residents are taking notice of Maple Shade.
