On third try, Loco’s Deli and Pub decides to renovate instead of build

The third time is the charm for Locos Deli and Pub, which has finally found a permanent location in Fayetteville.

The restaurant is renovating the former location of Malone’s Bar and Grill, which closed several months ago. Although this puts the restaurant on Fayetteville’s south side instead of the north, it will likely mean the restaurant can open for business quicker since they won’t be building a brand-new free standing structure.

Developers previously planned to build the restaurant and bar next to the Bank of America on Ga. Highway 314 North near New Hope Road. Residents from subdivisions in the area howled in opposition, resulting in a move across the highway that was ultimately too close to Prince of Peace Lutheran Church.
