Burglary suspect nabbed thanks to observant PTC officers By JOHN MUNFORD A burglary suspect who smashed his way into two Peachtree City businesses early Wednesday morning was apprehended by Coweta County deputies after his vehicle was spotted by Peachtree City officers. Andre Tyler, 41, of Norcross is charged with two counts of criminal attempt to commit burglary and one count of carrying a concealed weapon. He may also face up to 10 burglary charges from other jurisdictions. Police said Tylers vehicle was first spotted at the Waffle House on Ga. Highway 54 East around 3:45 a.m. when Cpl. Chris Robinson noticed it was similar to a vehicle reportedly involved in similar incidents in Henry County. Robinson wrote down the tag number and description of the vehicle but left the area after nothing amiss was found, police said. Shortly thereafter, the alarm went off at the Chin-Chin Chinese restaurant, where someone had tried to break in, police said. Shift supervisors then alerted Coweta deputies the suspect might be traveling toward Coweta and, sure enough, a second alarm was reported at Line Creek Liquor on Hwy. 54 West close to the Coweta line. Cpl. Dan Hunt responded and noticed a vehicle which he attempted to catch up to and stop. But Coweta deputies were able to stop the vehicle first, and evidence linking Tyler to both burglaries was found in his vehicle and on his person, police said.
