New bank selling stock

The Directors of First Coweta Bank are pleased to announce the availability of common stock in its initial public offering of up to 1,500,000 shares of stock. All shares are offered at a subscription price of $10 per share with a minimum purchase of 100 shares, a $1,000 minimum investment.

Organizing directors include Walter Arnall, Mike Barber, Keith Brooking, John E. Daviston, Dwight D. Ellison, Tommy Hardy, Tony Owens, Bernie Parks, Mayo H. Royal, Jr., Lynn Smith, and John M. Stuckey, Jr. Barber will serve as president and CEO of First Coweta Bank. He is well known in the market area with over 30 years of banking experience in Coweta County. Joining the management team is Terry Bright, who will serve as chief financial officer and Cindy Gosdin will serve as vice president of operations.

Members of the Board of Directors have elected to open the stock offering to the community. The proceeds of the offering principally will be used to raise capital to form First Coweta Bank, which will be a locally owned and managed community bank serving Newnan, Coweta County and the surrounding area.
