ABC Pediatrics welcomes new doctor, adds sports medicine services Bill D. Shaw, M.D. has recently joined ABC Pediatrics and is accepting new patients at this time. He is board certified in both general pediatrics and in pediatric sports medicine. Dr. Shaw has several years of experience in both private practice and in academics. Most recently, he practiced at All Childrens Hospital in St. Petersburg, Fla., where he took care of children in the hospital and in the general outpatient clinics. He also taught medical students and residents and directed the SportsCare Clinic. Dr. Shaw was born in Tampa and received his undergraduate degree from Georgetown University and his medical degree from Emory University. He completed his pediatric residency at Childrens Hospital in Cincinnati in 1995 and completed a Primary Care Sports Medicine Fellowship in 1998. He is a member of the American Academy of Pediatrics, the American College of Sports Medicine, and the Christian Medical Association. Dr. Shaw and his wife, Sharon (also a pediatrician), have three children: a daughter, 6; and two sons, 3 and 1.
