The Fayette Youth Protection Homes has had two offices some distance apart and even combined did not contain enough space.

They are now located behind the Gulf Service Station at Ga. Highway 314. An open house was held to introduce everyone to the new executive office site.

The Youth Protection Homes operate two homes for abused and neglected children, one in Brooks, and one in the north end of the county. Each home houses an average of 10 to 12 children.

Sonya Strickland is fulltime and serves as its executive director. There are four other fulltime and part-time employees.

Board President Ross Berry mentioned that they could use some office furniture, and would appreciate any donation.

The office is located at 125 Commerce Drive, Suite D. The telephone number is 770-371-5051.
