Turin woman arrested for stolen vehicle charge By JOHN MUNFORD A Turin woman was arrested in north Fayette County early Tuesday after she and another man were setting up a getaway car for an armed robbery attempt at an all-night convenience store, police said. Sheena Angela Shedd, 19, escaped in a stolen vehicle after her cohort was placed in handcuffs by a Fayette deputy, police said. She was later found hiding in bushes in a north Fayette subdivision. Shedd and the other suspect were planning to rob the Citgo store at the intersection of Ga. highways 138 and 314, said Lt. Col. Bruce Jordan of the Fayette County Sheriffs Department. They arrived in two stolen vehicles: one that had just been stolen from a newspaper carrier in Newnan prior to the incident and another that had been stolen Saturday from a gas station in Clayton County at the intersection of Tara Boulevard and Ga. Highway 54, Jordan said. Shedd is charged with one felony count of theft by receiving stolen property and misdemeanor counts of theft by receiving stolen property, obstruction of a police officer and driving with a revoked license. Charges and the identity of the second suspect were unavailable at press time Thursday.
