Wednesday, January 14, 2004 Knight Group wins awards The Knight Group earned a Professionalism Awards at the 23rd annual Awards Banquet presented to recognize the most outstanding professionals in Atlanta’s home building industry. The 2003 black-tie awards dinner and program, held recently at the Georgia World Congress Center in Atlanta, was presented by the Greater Atlanta Home Builders Association and the Atlanta Sales and Marketing Council. The theme of the event was “Blueprint for Success.” The program gives members the association the opportunity to compete with their industry professionals in building, remodeling, marketing and personal achievement areas. This year, a select group industry professionals traveled to Atlanta from across the United States during August to judge the hundreds of entries. The Knight Group captured a Silver Award in the category for Best Building Design - Detached Model $149,999 and Under for Cedar Grove Village in South Fulton County. The Knight Group, based in Jonesboro, was founded in 1978 and is currently one of the most active home builders in the Metro South area of Atlanta, building in Clayton, Henry, South Fulton and DeKalb counties. The company, which has been a consistent winner in the yearly Professionalism Awards competition, was listed at No. 14 in the Atlanta Business Chronicle’s latest ranking of “Atlanta’s Top 25 Home Builders.”
