Assist 2 Sell adds 17 franchises

Assist-2-Sell, North America’s largest residential discount real estate company, added 17 new franchises from Oct. 1 through Nov. 30 of 2003. The expansion brings the total number of Assist-2-Sell franchises in 44 states and Canada to 295, up 6.1 percent for the period.

Company co-founders and co-owners Mary LaMeres-Pomin and Lyle E. Martin announced the franchise totals. The announcement came as LaMeres-Pomin and Martin were recognized in the Dec. 3 issue of Realtor magazine. The Assist-2-Sell partners are among ten people the publication listed as notable for the impact they’ve made on the real estate industry. Others mentioned in an article listing the 25 most influential people in real estate are Fed Chairman Alan Greenspan, and Terrence M. “Terry” McDermott, executive vice president and CEO of the National Association of Realtors.

“The expansion in our owner-operated franchises was even stronger than we had expected when the fourth quarter of 2003 began,” LaMeres-Pomin and Martin said in a joint statement. “Increasing numbers of home sellers demand our efficient, low-cost, flat-fee services.”

The new owner-operated franchises are: Hollister, Rancho Bernardo, Rialto, San Clemente, and Victorville, Calif.; Coral Gables, Mandarin, Milton, Naples, Orange Park, and Seminole, Fla.; Lewiston and Mountain Home, Idaho; Mesquite, Nev.; Des Peres, Mo.; Draper, Utah; and Virginia Beach, Va.

Assist-2-Sell franchises provide the services of a professional real estate broker, for a single, low flat fee. Assist-2-Sell’s “Full Service with $avings” process enables home sellers to save thousands of dollars in commissions compared to paying 6 percent.

Assist-2-Sell projects it’ll have at least 500 locally owned and operated franchises in the United States and Canada by the fourth quarter of 2005. Owners of new Assist-2-Sell franchises attend the company’s training school at its corporate headquarters in Reno. The company requires its franchise owners to be experienced real estate brokers.

A privately held company, Assist-2-Sell was founded in 1987. The company is able to charge low fees thanks to its high-volume system, backed by an experienced team of real estate professionals that handle everything from advertising and showing the home to overseeing the closing process.

The local Assist-2-Sell office is located at 111 Petrol Pointe in Peachtree City.
