Wedding AnnouncementsFletcher-Harris Dr. and Mrs. John Fletcher of Yuma, Ariz., announce the marriage of their daughter, Rachel Gwen, to Sgt. David Michael Harris Jr., U.S.M.C., son of Dave and Glenda Harris of Fayetteville. The wedding was Dec. 27, 2003, at the First Presbyterian Church of Yuma. The brides aunt, the Rev. Sher Emerick, conducted the ceremony. The bride is the granddaughter of Charles and Frances Emerick of Indio, Calif. and Archibald and Val Fletcher of Duarte, Calif. She is a graduate of Rift Valley Academy and will be graduated from Northern Arizona University in May. The groom is the grandson of Wynelle J. Strange of Jacksonville, Fla., and the late Robert Lee Strange, and the Late Catherine Eavenson and Clarence Don Harris, also of Jacksonville. He is a graduate of Sandy Creek High School and has been attending Western Arizona College. He will transfer to The Citadel in Charleston, S.C. in the fall. The brides attendants were Jennifer Emerick-Cayton, cousin of the bride, Julie Kim and Jennifer Duerkson. The ring bearer was Jordan Emerick-Cayton, nephew of the bride. The best man was David M. Harris Sr., father of the groom, and groomsmen were J.D. Goding and Adrian Miranda, friends of the groom and fellow Marines. The couple will postpone their honeymoon until the spring and will move to the Charleston, S.C. area in August.eyer of Oklahoma City, Okla. The bride-to-be is the granddaughter of Rassie LaTella and the late Michael L. LaTella, and Mr. and Mrs. Don N. Cox Sr., all of Peachtree City. She is a graduate of McIntosh High School and majored in English at the University of Georgia. She is employed as an information systems analyst at Earthlink, Inc. The groom-elect is the grandson of Wilbur and Doris Maxey and the late Bernard and Inez Luetkemeyer. A graduate of Bishop McGuiness High School in Oklahoma City, he received a degree in nutrition from the University of Central Oklahoma. He is an aspiring recording artist and is employed as portal production coordinator at Earthlink. The wedding will be in October, 2004.
