A College Park man was arrested Friday afternoon for stalking his ex-girlfriend in violation of a bond condition for a previous battery charge.

Roy Elvis Strickland, 29, placed the victim “under surveillance” by driving by her home on Chase Drive in Fayetteville and parking in the nearby cul-de-sac on several occasions between Nov. 10 and Dec. 15, according to the warrant for his arrest.

Strickland, who was charged with aggravated stalking, will remain in jail without bond, ordered Fayette Magistrate Joe A. Tinsley.

Strickland had been out on bond for charges that he injured the victim during a confrontation at the residence Nov. 1 which caused bruising to the victim’s wrists, according to court documents. Fayetteville police subsequently arrested Strickland, who was charged with simple battery and battery (family violence).

That case is still pending, according to court records.
