Fayette schools schedule 3 job fairs for teachers The Fayette County Board of Education has scheduled three job fairs to help fill teaching positions for the 2004-2005 school year. Job fair dates are Jan. 16, Feb. 27 and March 19 at the LaFayette Educational Center. Job fair screening interviews are scheduled to enable applicants to share additional information with school system administrators. In order to schedule a screening interview, applicants must have an application for certied employment on file in the Human Resources Department as well as hold a valid or expired teaching certicate or be eligible for a teaching certicate by August 2004. No interviews will be scheduled for applicants who hold or are eligible for provisional certication. To schedule an appointment for one of the upcoming job fairs, call the Human Resources Department at 770-460-3535 Monday-Friday from 8 a.m.-4:30 p.m. Applicants should allow approximately one hour to complete the interview process on the day of the fair. Elementary and early childhood applicants will be scheduled for two interviews and should bring two copies of their resume as well as a portfolio if desired. Middle school, high school and support services applicants will be scheduled for one interview and must bring one copy of their resume and a portfolio if desired.
