Samaritans list top needs By CAROLYN CARY ccary@TheCitizenNews.com The Fayette Samaritans charity has put out a call for help with providing food and household items to Fayette residents temporarily in need. Items needed this month are as follows: 1. Cereal. 2. Bathroom tissue 3. Clothes detergent. 4. Instant potatoes. 5. Flour and cornmeal. 6. Jam and jellies. 7. Peanut butter. 8. Hand soap. 9. Apple juice. 10. Shampoo. The charity’s clothes closet needs children’s and teens’ blue jeans, and winter coats and jackets. The Samaritans are located at 126 Hickory Rd., just off New Hope Road next to the Fayetteville Christian Church, and are open Monday through Friday, 9 a.m. to noon. Phone 770-719-2707.
