Improve your health through weight control

It’s all over the national news: Two-thirds of U.S. adults are overweight or obese. The cost of obesity to U.S. busineses for healthcare, sick leave, and disability insurance is estimated at 12.7 billion dollars. Doctors are finding elevated cholesterol levels in twelve year old children and the onset of non-insulin dependent diabetes in people under 20 years of age.

Death from cancers and heart disease is on the rise. Currently, one out of three people will have cancer in their lifetime. This number is estimated to increase to one out of two by 2010. If you are an American woman who eats hamburgers and fries five days a week, you have a much greater risk of developing breast cancer.

None of these unhealthy results are necessary. Through diet and a healthier lifestyle, the problems that come with obesity can be rectified.

Some healthy diet tips include:

• Drink at least 64 ounces of clean water per day.

• Limit red meats to no more than 3 times per week.

• Avoid fried foods.

• Eat 5-7 servings of fresh, raw vegetables per day.

• Avoid caffeine.

• Limit sweets and salty snacks.

• Walk 20-30 minutes per day, at a brisk pace.

When support and guidance are needed to keep on track with a healthy lifestyle, local citizens can call Hi-Energy Weight Control Centers. Hi-Energy offers a professionally supervised, healthy program and guaranteed results. Using no stimulants or pre-packaged food, the program is physician approved.

“Our program is fast and safe,” said Hi-Energy owner Dr. David Towery. “Hi-Energy is the best weight control program on the planet.”

Barbara Brown of Fayetteville experienced the program personally. “When I joined Hi-Energy Weight Control Center, I didn’t like myself,” she said. “I saw the ad in the paper. That was the day I decided to do something about my weight. I made the call, and that started my change.

“My progress has been amazing,” she continued. “The plan is easy, and the staff is very caring. My motto is ‘nothing tastes as good as being thin feels.’ Thank you, Hi-Energy, for giving me back me.”

Brown lost 47 pounds and over 71 inches while on the program.

In business for over 16 years, Hi-Energy Weight Control Centers are located in Peachtree City and Newnan, near Thomas Crossroads. For more information call 770-486-0124 (Peachtree City) or 770-254-9940 (Newnan).
