Rhonda Faye Betsill


Rhonda Faye Betsill, 47, Fayetteville, died Dec. 13, 2003. She was born Sept. 16, 1956 in Atlanta. Services were at the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Mark Sparrow officiating. Interment was at the Banks Cemetery, Fayetteville. Survivors include her husband, Paul Betsill, Fayetteville; daughters, Leslie R. Betsill, Riverdale, and Lisa and Steven Poss, Griffin; a grandchild, Allison Poss, Griffin; father, Emory "Buddy" Dennis, Senoia; a brother, Doug and Linda Dennis, Senoia; and mother-in-law, Ruby Betsill, Fayetteville. Barbara Jayne Hagman


Barbara Jayne Hagman, 58, Fayetteville, died Dec. 15, 2003. She was born Feb. 26, 1945 in New York, New York. Memorial services will be held in early 2004. Survivors include her husband, Bob Hagman, Fayetteville; a son, Erik Hagman, New Jersey; a daughter, Kristina Goldfield, Tampa; mother, Elsie Peters, Sharpsburg; and sisters, Ellen Caccese, Sharpsburg, and Susan Samuels, Williamsburg, Va. Joseph Henry Eckert


Joseph Henry Eckert, 89, Peachtree City, died Dec. 15, 2003. He was born Nov. 19, 1914 in Illinois. Memorial services were at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Peachtree City, with the Rev. Father John Walsh officiating. Survivors include his wife, Mary Eckert, Peachtree City; a daughter, Diane Huamonte, Miami, Fla.; and brothers, Thomas Eckert, Eureka, Ill., and Wilford Eckert, Rock Island, Ill. Florence M. Gordon, 60, Fayetteville, died Dec. 17, 2003. She was born Aug. 8, 1943 in Las Vegas, Nev. Services were at the Prince of Peace Lutheran Church with the Rev. Dr. Justin Kollmeyer officiating. Interment at Haisten at Eastlawn Memorial Park, McDonough. Survivors include her husband, John T. Carolyn A. Bucar


Carolyn A. Bucar, 57, Fayetteville, died Dec. 17, 2003. She was born Feb. 15, 1946 in Chicago, Ill. Memorial services will be held at a later date. Survivors include her husband, Jeffrey A. Bucar, Fayetteville; a daughter, Cathy and David Lewis, Napierville, Ill; grandchildren, Emily Lewis, Nora Lewis, and Thomas Lewis, all of Napierville; and a sister, Joanne Melcher, Annapolis, Md. Radford A. Morris


Radford A. Morris, 78, Fayetteville, died Dec. 17, 2003. He was born March 29, 1925 in Carroll County, Ga. He was the owner and operator of Morris Appliance Service for many years. Services were at the Fayetteville Christian Church with the Rev. Daniel Overdorf and the Rev. Bob Mahan officiated. Interment was at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville. Survivors include his wife, Catherine Jeanette Johnson Morris, Fayetteville; a son, Wilson Morris, Twin City; a daughter, Virginia and William Sanders, Fayetteville; two grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and brothers, Paul Morris, Lakeland, Fla., and James Morris, Carrollton. Jessie Cordelia McEachern


Jessie Cordelia McEachern, 87, Covington, formerly of Fayetteville and Old National, died Dec. 18, 2003. She was born Sept. 3, 1916 in Fayette County, the daughter of John Wesley and Sarah Josephine Robinson Bozeman. She was preceded in death by her husband, Sam Vincent McEachern, four brothers, and one sister. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with David Ables officiating. Interment was at Greenwood Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include a son, Wayne and Sharon McEachern, Maurertown, Va.; a daughter, Marsha and Don Buck, Covington; and a grandson, Avery McEachern, Maurertown, Va. Carl J. Lorena Helton Parker


Lorena Helton Parker, 86, Fayetteville, died Dec. 19, 2003. She was born Oct. 23, 1917 in White County, Ga. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Edgar Waters officiating. Interment was at Camp Memorial Cemetery, Fayetteville. Survivors include sons, J. D. Parker, and R. L. Bobby Gene Sorrells


Bobby Gene Sorrells, 69, Griffin, died Dec. 19, 2003. He was born April 26, 1934 in Polk County, Ga. He was a Mason, vice chairman of the Georgia Real Estate Board, a Member of NAIFA, and a past national director of NAIFA. Services were at the Fairview Baptist Church, Highway 16, Brooks, Ga. with the Rev. Charles Johnson officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include his wife, Sue Landrum Sorrells, Griffin; a son, Danny and Susie Sorrells, Haralson; daughters, Renea and Gregg McKibben, Stockbridge, and Sharon and Robert Ramsey, Griffin; grandchildren, Matthew Turnipseed, Andrea Young, and Bradley McKibben; and a great-grandchild, Kayli Young. Thomas J. Smith


Thomas J. "Jack" Smith, 74, Fayetteville, died Dec. 19, 2003. He was born May 15, 1929 in Fairmont, Gordon County, Ga. He was retired from Western Union as a senior communications engineer, and was a member of Lisbon Baptist Church. Services were at Lisbon Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Randall Harris, the Rev. Bill Massengale, and the Rev. Carlton Swicegood officiating. Interment was at Sherwood Memorial Park, Jonesboro. Survivors include his wife, Jenny Smith; a son, Tim; daughters, Deborah, Donna, and Junie; grandchildren; great-grandchildren; one brother; and three sisters. Carl J.
