Nonprofits need help during holidays

If you do not have a particular family or organization to help during the holidays, consider one of the these nonprofit groups.

The St. Vincent DePaul Society, Holy Trinity Catholic Church, is in need of cereals, both hot and cold, diapers, coffee, small boxes of laundry detergent and kids snacks. It is located at 101 Walt Banks Road and Ga. Highway 54 and can be reached at 770-487-7672.

Braelinn Community Services Inc., Braelinn Baptist Church, is in need of canned meat products and baby items such as diapers, wipes, etc. Its service center is located at 382 Senoia Road in Tyrone and the hours are Tuesday and Thursday, 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., and Thursday evenings, 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. The phone number is 770-487-6691, ext. 222.

Winter clothing items are needed by the Fayette Samaritans in both children's and adult sizes. It is located at the corner of New Hope Road and Hickory Avenue, by the Fayetteville Christian Church. It is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to noon and can be reached at 770-719-2707.
