Troy C. Varnedoe


Troy C. Varnadoe, 58, Fayetteville, died Nov. 28, 2003. He was born Jan. 7, 1945 in Doe Run, Ga. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Robert Harrison officiating. Interment was at Westminster Memorial Gardens, Peachtree City. Survivors include his wife, Chris Varnadoe, Fayetteville; children, Jennifer and Steven Coggins, Sharpsburg, Erica Varnadoe, Atlanta, and Matthew Troy Varnadoe, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Stephanie Coggins, and Steven Tyler Coggins, both of Sharpsburg; his mother, Mary Varnadoe, Franklin, Ga.; and brothers, Curtis Varnadoe, Sugar Hill, Ga., Robert Varnadoe, Franklin, Ga., and Roy Varnadoe, Helen, Ga. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Peachtree City, was in charge.

Hulon T. Williams


Hulon T. Williams, 70, Fayetteville, died Nov. 30, 2003. He was born Sept. 11, 1933 in Fulton County. He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley Williams. Graveside services were at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta, with the Rev. Dr. Jimmy Orr officiating. Survivors include sons, Danny Williams, McDonough, and Randy Williams, Fayetteville; a daughter, Debbie and Dale Harris, McDonough; a brother, Hollis Williams, Fayetteville; a sister, Geraldine Morgan, Fayetteville; grandchildren, Evan Williams, Shannon Best, and Shelly Jackson, all of McDonough, and Heather Williams, East Point; and great-grandchildren, Jordan Best, Chloe Best, and Carleigh Ethridge. Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.

Doris Virginia Brown


Doris Virginia Brown, 75, Peachtree City, died Dec. 2, 2003. She was born June 29, 1928 in Fayette County, the daughter of Rufus McKinley and Marie Watkins Watson. She was preceded in death by a son, Harry M. Brown Jr., and brother, Robert Watson. Graveside services were at the Flat Creek Baptist Church cemetery, Fayetteville, with the Rev. Mark Riley officiating. Survivors include her husband, Harry M. Brown, Peachtree City; a son, Timothy and Cathy Brown, Peachtree City; a granddaughter, Charity and Dan McSwords, Valdosta; and a brother, James T. and Carol Watson, Calhoun, Ga. Alice Ruth Byrom


Alice Ruth Byrom, 85, Peachtree City, formerly of Senoia, died Dec. 4, 2003. She was born Oct. 2, 1918 in Coweta County. Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with the Rev. Mike Lynch officiating. Interment was at the Senoia City Cemetery. Survivors include a daughter, Alice and Norman Jones, Fayetteville; and grandchildren, Tresa and Ricky Martin, Griffin, Juanita and Scott Martin, and Darlene and Anthony Stanley, all of Fayetteville, and Terry Jones, Ft. Priscilla Diane Strickland


Priscilla Diane Strickland, 60, Fayetteville, died Dec. 5, 2003. She was born Sept. 15, 1943 in Atlanta. Services were at Harps Crossing Baptist Church with the Rev. Dennis Watson officiating. Interment was at Westview Cemetery, Atlanta. Survivors include her husband, Roy Strickland, Fayetteville; sons, David and Lisa Lyle, Savannah, Paul and Angela Lyle, McDonough, Stephen and Kim Lyle, Douglasville, and Andy and Christi Lyle, Fayetteville; a brother, L. Walker and Sue Pelot, Buford; eight grandchildren; and mother, Jeannette Payne. Carl J. Mowell & Son Funeral Home, Fayetteville, was in charge.
