Kate Calcaterra, program director for Fayette Senior Services, has announced that its annual Project Love is in its ninth year and still in need of assistance.

The organization would like to provide two holiday meals and a five-day frozen meal packs for Christmas week. Although the agency is not required to provide meals during the holidays or the days it is closed, it feels that an act of love can take place anyway, hence the name Project Love.

On inclement days or snow days the agency is closed but count on the generosity of Fayette County citizens to help fund the project of feeding the home-bound.

Calcaterra suggested that not only individuals could contribute but Sunday school classes or church groups might want to participate. The 2-day meal packs are $10 and the 5-day meal pack is $25.

A group may also want to provide items for the senior's Christmas stockings and suggest lotion, powder, footies, note cards, combs, a small flashlight, socks, stamps, tissues, nail clippers and batteries would be most useful.

For information call Calcaterra at 770-461-0813 Monday through Friday by 3 p.m.
