Hospital opens new fitness center

Fayette Community Hospital’s newly designed Rehab and Fitness Center opened its doors to the community Nov. 17.ÊMembers of the Center will enjoy a new location, expanded facility and new equipment and services.

Located across Ga. Highway 54 from the hospital at 1250 Fayette Professional Center, the Center has doubled its space and added treadmills, exercise bikes, rowers and ellipticals. The community is invited to join the new center.ÊIndividual, family and professional memberships are available beginning at $35 per month.

“We are pleased to offer memberships to the new center for area residents.ÊWe have doubled our space and hope that Fayette residents will come by for a tour to see our new facility,” said Jill Fenimore, director of the Rehab and Fitness Center and physical therapist at Fayette Community Hospital.Ê“Every member of our staff has degrees in exercise physiology, exercise science or a related field, and we also have a registered dietician available by appointment for nutrition counseling.”

The Rehab and Fitness Center will continue to offer outpatient physical therapy and speech-language pathology at its new location.ÊIn addition, occupational therapy is being added as a new service. “From workout programs and healthy menus to fitness features and nutrition tips, the FCH Rehab and Fitness Center provides opportunities to fit your healthy lifestyle,” said Fenimore.ÊÊ

Hours for the Rehab and Fitness Center are Monday through Thursday, 6 a.m. to 7:30 p.m.; Friday, 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.; Saturday, 7:30 a.m. to noon; and closed Sundays and holidays.ÊFor more information regarding the Rehab and Fitness Center, please call 770-719-7290.
