PTC couple cuffed for trying to bilk man of $10K for explicit photos By JOHN MUNFORD A Peachtree City couple was arrested Thursday for trying to extort $10,000 from a Coweta man over sexually explicit photographs featuring all three persons, police said. Howard Bierman, 46, and Marla Bierman, 44, were arrested by police after a sting operation conducted by the Peachtree City Police Department. Police Chief James Murray said the victim met the Biermans through a business relationship. They apparently got him involved in a situation and after that they tried to extort money out of him not to expose his participation, Murray said. The arrests came after police wired the victim so the conversation could be recorded from a remote location, police said. Detectives established a surveillance in the Peachtree Crossing Shopping Center and made the arrest shortly after the conversation between the victim and the Biermans, police said. The Biermans were released from jail Saturday on $5,000 bond each.
