Police Briefs PTC man jailed after assault with bat A Peachtree City man was arrested Sunday night after he assaulted his wife and stepson with a baseball bat, police said. Christopher J. Davies, 36, was charged with two felony counts of aggravated assault, three felony counts of making terroristic threats and one misdemeanor count of simple battery. The incident occurred at the familys Hickory Drive home, according to reports. Davies also threatened to kill his wife, stepson and 4-year-old daughter with the baseball bat, police said. Shoplifter gets away after harming Fville officer A Fayetteville police officer was injured Saturday afternoon while trying to stop a shoplifting suspect at the T.J. Maxx at the Fayette Pavilion. The officer, Terrell Bunn, received a cuts to his arm and ear, said Lt. Beverly Trainor. The suspect, a black male who has not been identified, was able to get away, according to police reports.
