Wednesday, November 12, 2003 Uhl to lead local Keller Williams office Ginger Uhl is the new team leader of Keller Williams Realty's local Market Center. From its base in Peachtree City, the center serves all of Fayette, Coweta, South Fulton, and Troup counties. Uhl is managing one of the fastest-growing Keller Williams offices in the nation. From its start in January of 2001 under broker/owner Steve Freeman, the Peachtree City/Newnan Market Center now has 98 agents. In only two years, Keller Williams now boasts the second highest number of listings in Coweta County, and for the last two years in a row, an agent from the Keller Williams Peachtree City/Newnan office has received the Newnan-Coweta Board of Realtors' Realtor of the Year award (Debbie Burdett in 2002, and Julia Nelson in 2003). Uhl believes she can double the size of the local Keller Williams office. "By making customer service our top priority, and keeping this a fun place to work, we can be the number one real estate company in the area," Uhl said. "We already offer more training and career improvement than any other realty company. The result is agents who are committed to the satisfaction of their customers, creating 'win-win' deals for everyone, every day." Keller Williams has enjoyed phenomenal growth since coming to Georgia in 1999. The company now has more than 1,100 agents statewide in 18 offices, resulting in $1.2 billion in closings in 2002. "One reason for our unprecedented pace of growth is the fact that all our agents are partners in our business," said Uhl. "They all have a say in all decisions, they are empowered to do whatever it takes to please the customer, and perhaps most unique of all, they share in the profits of the business over and above their real estate commissions." Uhl has worked in real estate for 20 years, starting in upstate New York, and working the last 14 years in Georgia. For most of the last six years she was director of sales and associate broker with Arbor Springs in Newnan. Uhl and her husband Jon live in Peachtree City, and they have five children, ages 12-21. Uhl is active in the community as well as in her profession, and has served as an officer of the Newnan-Coweta Board of Realtors.
