Obituaries

Mildred L. Workman


Mildred L. Workman, 92, formerly of Fayetteville, died Oct. 17, 2003. She was born May 7, 1911 , in White County, Ga. She was preceded in death by her husband, Edward A. Workman, and a daughter, Sandra E. Dye.
Graveside services were at the Westview Cemetery, Atlanta.
Survivors include sons, Samuel Donald Workman, and James Ronald Workman.
Higgins at Holly Hill Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.

Judy R. Wyatt


Judy R. Wyatt, 60, Fayetteville, died Oct. 22, 2003. She was born on Aug. 25, 1943 in Richmond County, Ga. She was preceded in death by a sister, JoAnne Napier, Riverdale.
Services were at Tara Garden Chapel with interment at Camp Memorial Park, Fayetteville.
Survivors include her husband, Jimmy Wyatt; sons, Robert and Stephanie Wyatt, Newnan, and Mike Wyatt, McDonough; a daughter, Tracey Wyatt Price, Peachtree City; a sister, Vicky and Johnny Williams, North Augusta, S. C.; and six grandchildren.
Thomas L. Scroggs, Tara Garden Chapel, Jonesboro, was in charge.

Eunice G. Melton


Eunice G. Melton, 74, Peachtree City, died Oct. 24, 2003. She was born Aug. 24, 1929 in Fulton County.
Memorial services was at the Carl J. Mowell chapel with Pastor Harold Harris officiating.
Survivors include her husband, Clinton C. Melton, Peachtree City; daughters, Jennifer and Kneeland Roberts, Atlanta, and Pamela and Dean McIntyre, Maryland; a granddaughter, Victoria Roberts, Atlanta; and sisters, Jacqueline Spence, Shirley Napier, Ruby Cole, Claudia Owens, and Geraldine Lindsey.

William H. Snow


William H. Snow, 76, Fayetteville, died Oct. 26, 2003. He was born April 11, 1927 in Iron Mountain, Mo.
A memorial mass was held at Holy Trinity Catholic Church with the Rev. Father John Walsh officiating.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Snow, Fayetteville; children, Debby Heery Fayetteville, Elizabeth and Frank McClay, Marietta, and Cynthia and Robert Cohn, Orange, Conn.; grandchildren, Corie Jean Heery, Fayetteville, Matthew Cohn, Emma Cohn, and Alex Cohn, all of Orange, Conn.; and five nephews.
Memorial donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.

Ronald Denzil Lynch


Ronald Denzil Lynch, 62, Jonesboro, died Oct. 27, 2003. He was born April 10, 1941 in Troup County, Ga.
Services were at the Riverdale Presbyterian Church with the Rev. Dr. Martin Huggins officiating. Interment was at College Park Cemetery.
Survivors include his wife, Beverly S. Lynch, Jonesboro; those to whom he served as a "bonus dad" are: Lawana and Richard Childers, Fayetteville, Fran and Wayne Aldredge, Newnan, Kevin Bailey, Hampton, and Carla Morris, Fairburn; and nieces, Rhonda Taylor, Kimberly Dunson, and Lori Robinson.

Robert F. Callahan


Robert F. Callahan, 74, Tyrone, died Oct. 28, 2003. He was born Aug. 24, 1929 in Fulton County, one of four sons of Mr. and Mrs. James H. Callahan. He was preceded in death by a brother, James W. Callahan. He had served in the United States Marines. He was owner of Bestway Copy Center for 29 years.
Services were at the Parrott Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. James "Jim" Burdette, and the Rev. Keith Stell officiating. Interment was at Floral Hills Memory Gardens, Tucker, Ga.
Survivors include his wife of 55 years, Sue E. Callahan; children, Michael and Hope Callahan and Peggy and Knute Chauncey, all of Tyrone, Pam and Tommy Galloway and Cathy and Jeffrey Hearn, all of Fayetteville; grandchildren, Kristy Chauncey, Matthew Chauncey, Christopher Hearn, Chase Callahan, Sara Galloway, Linsey Hearn, Tyler Galloway, Hunter Callahan, and Trey Callahan; brothers, Howard Callahan, San Diego, Calif., and Charles Callahan New Smyrna Beach, Fla.
Parrott Funeral Home, Fairburn, was in charge.

Jack Thompson


Jack Thompson, 85, Peachtree City, died Oct. 30, 2003. He was born March 5, 1918 in Douglas County, Ga. He was preceded in death by his wife, Ruth Plymale Thompson.
Services were at the Carl J. Mowell chapel, with the Rev. Betsy Haas officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Gardens, College Park.
Survivors include sons, Richard and Vera Thompson, Douglasville, Robert and Jean Thompson, Peachtree City, and Russell Thompson, Albuquerque, N. M.; grandchildren, Clint Thompson, Matt and Mandy Thompson, Brent Thompson, Abby Thompson, and Gillian T. "Freddie" Gordon; and great-grandchildren, Keeley Thompson, Zoey Thompson, and Callie Gordon.
Memorial donations may be made to the Peachtree City First United Methodist Church Building Fund.
