Correction

An article in last Wednesday’s edition misattributed several statements in an article about Beau Christian Reed, who police said raped and torched a hotel clerk in Peachtree City two weeks ago.

Reed’s former cellmate, Timothy M. Wallace, said, “When I first found out about it (the attack), I thought somebody needed to rape him.” Wallace also said when he heard the suspect drove a fast car, it made him feel like he might have known the then-unnamed suspect at one time.

“There are some people I know who it wouldn’t be a huge shock if they did it,” Wallace said later in the article.

It is the policy of The Citizen to correct errors of fact upon notification.
