City elections coming Tuesday

Fayetteville voters have one of two polling places to choose from as they head to the polls Tuesday for the general election.

The only contested race in the city is for the city council seat sought by Paul Oddo and Wilson Price. The winner will replace Bill Talley, who has declined to run for a second term.

Running unopposed are Mayor Ken Steele and councilman Glenn Brewer.

Voters in the northern end of Fayetteville go to the LaFayette Educational Center next to Fayette County High School, while south Fayetteville voters cast their ballots at the Fayette County Library.

Anyone with questions about the election should contact City Hall at 770-461-6029.
