FCREA auction
set for Nov. 16
Barbara Brown was all smiles
as her bid won a gift at last year’s scholarship auction held by
the Fayette County Retired Educators Association (FCREA). This year’s
date for the FCREA annual scholarship auction is Nov. 16 at 10:30 a.m.
at the Right on Thyme restaurant in Fayetteville.
FCREA awards a scholarship yearly to a local graduating senior who plans
to enter the field of education. Members are asked to bring a wrapped
present for the auction. Donations from local businesses will also be
accepted. All proceeds of the auction will benefit the FCREA scholarship
fund.Distinguished Toastmaster and local businessman Carleton Williams
will again serve as auctioneer for this event.
All retired educators in Fayette County are invited to attend. Membership
in FCREA is open to any educator retired from any school system within
the nation. Interested retired educators may contact FCREA through the
