Southern Regional named International Employer of the Year

The International Promotions Council of the Clayton County Chamber of Commerce recently named Southern Regional Health System as its 2003 International Employer of The Year. The announcement was made at the Chamber’s 12th Annual International Awards Ceremony and Luncheon at Clayton College & State University.
“We are very proud of this award,” said Southern Regional’s John Hursh, vice president of human resources. “At Southern Regional, we celebrate the diversity of our employees, physicians and the community we serve. We do so because it makes us a stronger hospital and our patients receive better quality healthcare as a result. All of us benefit from the gifts and talents they bring to our community. We are fortunate that many talented, compassionate people from around the globe have made the Southern Crescent their home and Southern Regional their place of employment.”
Southern Regional was also recently named as an "A+ Employer" by the Atlanta Business Chronicle, making it the only organization in metro Atlanta to receive the designation south of I-20.
