Fayette student
to perform with GC&SU Jazz Combo
Tim Pietrofere of Fayetteville
will perform with the Georgia College & State University Jazz Combo
in Cabaret, Broadway, and Beyond: an Evening of Treasured Vocal
Jazz Standards, at 7:30 p.m. Oct. 28 in Max Noah Recital, Porter
Hall at GC&SU. He plays the trumpet with the combo.
Pietrofere, a senior music education major, is the son of Gail and Mark
Pietrofere of Fayetteville. He graduated from Fayette County High School,
where he was in marching band, wind ensemble, concert band and symphonic
band.
At GC&SU he is also in concert band, jazz band, pep band and the Bobcat
Brass Quintet and is involved in Collegiate Music Educators National Conference
as well.
The GC&SU Jazz Combo concert will contain a wide array of musical
numbers including My Funny Valentine by Rogers & Hart,
Autumn Leaves by Georgia's own Johnny Mercer, All the
Things You Are by Oscar Hammerstein,The Days of Wine and Roses
by Henry Mancini, and Speak Low and September Song
by Kurt Weill.
Georgia College & State University, located in Milledgeville, is Georgias
public liberal arts university.
