Wedding Announcements

Frank-Kirby

Mrs. Carol Jackson Glover and David Roy Frank of Newnan announce the engagement of their daughter, Julie Carolyn, to Joshua Shawn Kirby, son of Mrs. Mendy Kirby of Fayetteville and Greg Kirby of Glenview, Ill.
The bride-elect is the granddaughter of Mrs. Ruth Musick Jackson and the late Joseph Eugene Jackson of Newnan and the late Marion and Alton Frank of Newnan. She is a cum laude graduate of the University of Georgia’s Warnell School of Forest Resources, majoring in wildlife biology.
The future groom is the grandson of Mrs. June Kirby and the late E.J. Kirby of Griffin and Mr. and Mrs. Thomas Brown of Griffin. He attended the State University of West Georgia and is employed as a sales representative for Pavestone, Inc. of Tyrone.
The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at 2 p.m., at The Barn in Senoia.

Leach-Aven

Amanda Leann Leach of Brentwood, Tenn. and Justin David Aven of Fayetteville are engaged to be married.
The bride-elect is the daughter of Syble and Howard Leach of Hendersonville, Tenn. She is the granddaughter of Damie Leach of Beaver Dam, Ky., the late Irvin Leach, and the late Esma and Talmadge Henderson. She earned a bachelor of business administration degree in 2002 from Belmont University in Nashville, Tenn., where she was a member of Phi Mu sorority and Towering Traditions Leadership Team. She is a finance analyst for Caterpillar Financial Services Corporation.
The future groom is the son of Kathy and David Aven of Fayetteville. He is the grandson of Mr. and Mrs. John Q. Aven and the late Lois Aven of Calhoun City, Miss., and the late Mr. and Mrs. Steve Roebuck of Houston, Miss. He was graduated in 2003 from Belmont University with a degree in music business. He was a member of Alpha Tau Omega fraternity and Towering Traditions Leadership Team. He is employed by Lifeway Christian Resources Corporation.
The wedding will be Saturday, Oct. 18, 2003, at 3 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in Hendersonville, Tenn.

Fike anniversary

Elinore and Charles Fike of Tyrone celebrated their Golden Wedding Anniversary Oct. 10, 2003. The couple was married Oct. 10, 1953 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Riverdale, Ill. A dinner was held at Blackstone Restaurant in Vinings, hosted by the couple’s children, Marcia Fike of Tyrone, Craig Fike of Highland, Ind., Cheryl Smith of St. John, Ind., Ellen O’Connell of Senoia, and Tim Fike of Buford.

Petricka-Livingston

Ms. Patricia A. Petricka of Fayetteville and Dennis R. Petricka of Las Vegas, Nev. announce the engagement of their daughter, Susanne Frances Petricka of Fayetteville, to David Jackson “DJ” Livingston of Hampton, son of Dawn and Dwight Jackson of Hampton.
The bride-to-be is a 1997 graduate of Fayette County High School.
The groom-elect is a 1997 graduate of Henry County High School.
The wedding will be Nov. 8, 2003, at Chota Falls, with the reception following.
Following a honeymoon, the couple will reside in Peachtree City.

Whalen-Cupertino

SGM (Ret. U.S. Army) Michael and Nancy Whalen of Rex announce the engagement of their daughter, Allison Marie, to Daniel Joseph Cupertino, son of Diann Cupertino of Fayetteville and Dan Cupertino also of Fayetteville.
The wedding will be March 13, 2004 at West Gwinnett Christian Church with a reception following at Winfield Hall in Duluth.
