Christian City's Fall Festival Saturday

Christian City will host its 25th annual Fall Festival Saturday from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. on the Christian City campus.

The Fall Festival, which has been a tradition since 1978, will celebrate with antiques, crafts and artisans, local entertainment, a children's area and food.ÊProceeds from the festival benefit the Home for Children at Christian City.

“Our Fall Festival is always a big success thanks to the great artists and craftsmen that participate,” said Elizabeth Jones, chairperson for the Festival. “We expect a variety of handmade items from local artists, and we have added children's activities so the entire family can participate.”

The 2003 Fall Festival will include an area for local artists to sell their handmade items and a “church” area in which churches will sell handmade crafts, homemade cakes, plants, and various other items for the children at Christian City. This event will take place outside to add to the "festival" atmosphere. Children's activities will include entertainment, clowns, face painting and a pumpkin patch. Graceland, Christian City's thrift store, also will be open during the festival.
