Cattle Baron's Ball to raise money for American Cancer Society

Local citizens will be able to feel a little bit like cowboys and cowgirls this Saturday when the American Cancer Society’s Cattle Baron’s Ball comes to the Kiwanis Exhibiton Hall in Fayetteville.

The proceeds from this event will contribute to the local programs of the Amercian Cancer Society. These programs are available to the public, free of charge. The proceeds will also go toward research and development.

In addition to receiving money from ticket sales, the American Cancer Society has received donations from corporate sponsors to help organize the event. One way that local corporations have helped is by donating items to the auction and sponsoring a pig for the live pigs race.

Racing pigs is only part of the fun at the ball, though. There will be live music provided by local band Justus, games of chance, mechanical bull rides, a prime rib dinner and unlimited beer, wine and soda. Among the items being auctioned are original artwork, signed sports jerseys, simulator rides, jewelry and more.

So pull on some jeans, strap on some boots and put on your cowboy hats for what is sure to be a fun evening. Tickets for the American Cancer Society’s Cattle baron’s Ball are $100 per person, $60 of which is tax-deductible. Phone Sheri Waynick of the American cancer Society at 770-460-8920 for tickets.
