Planners to consider outdoor storage request

The Fayetteville Planning and Zoning Commission will consider a request for an outdoor storage area behind the Haverty’s Furniture building on Ga.. Highway 85 north at its work session meeting Tuesday night.

The area must be screened and fenced in according to city regulations and it will not be visible from the highway. The area is, however, adjacent to several residential properties located just outside the city limits.

The commission will also receive comment on development plans for a SunTrust Bank on Ga. Highway 85 North and the Wachovia Bank on 620 North Jeff Davis Drive.

The commission’s first meeting of each month is a worksession, meaning no formal votes are made, while its regular voting meeting is held on the fourth Tuesday of each month.
