Dorothy Patrick
Dorothy Lois Kelley Patrick, 86, Newnan, died Oct. 1, 2003. She was born July 12, 1917 in Molena, Ga., daughter of the late James Bob and Lois Susie Self Kelley. She was preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Harry Lee Patrick, and brothers, Norman Kelley, Roger, Kelley, and Harry Zack “Buck” Kelley.
She was a long-time Pink Lady at Newnan Hospital and a member of the First Baptist Church.
Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Dr. Gene Tyre officiating. Interment was at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Newnan.
Survivors include a son, Robert Emerson and Emma Laura Barron Patrick Sr.,Birmingham Ala.; grandsons, Robert Emerson “Bobby” and Kelley Brown Patrick, Jr., Birmingham, Ala. Michael Lee Patrick, Austin, Texas, and Frank Yeadon and Beth Richardson Patrick, Wellington, Fla.; and great-grandchildren, Robert Emerson Patrick III, William Gunnar Patrick, Ann Kelley Patrick, Frank Yeadon Patrick Jr., Amelia Kathleen Patrick, and Collin Michael Patrick.; brothers, Richard and Naomi Kelley, Molena, Ga., and P. J. and Linda Kelley, Newnan; sisters, Louise Hamlett, Molena, Lena Mae Wilson, Orlando, Fla., Ellie Pryor, Jessup, Ga., and Carolyn Barrett, Atlanta; and a sister-in-law, Sara Patrick Decatur, Ga.

Luther Breed
Luther Edward Breed, 83, Sharpsburg, died Oct. 3, 2003. He was born Sept. 3,1920 in Coweta County, son of the late John Thomas and Annie Moore Breed. He retired with 23 years of service as an engineer with the State of Georgia Department of Transportation and later operated his own business.
Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. John McDuffie and the Rev. Jimmy Fleming officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Ollie Brown Breed, Sharpsburg; daughters, Ann and the Rev. Jimmy Fleming, Newnan, Janice and Bobby Hogan, Sharpsburg; step-children, Terry Banks, Sharpsburg, Jimmy Banks, Hampton, and Annette Nolen, Heflin, Ala.; nine grandchildren; and 13 great-grandchildren.

Johnnie Wheelus
Johnnie Houston Wheelus, 73, Greenville, Ga., died Oct. 5, 2003. He was born March 21, 1930 in Meriwether County, son of the late James Albert and Willie Mae Heard Wheelus. He was preceded in death by his wife, Marie Ella Simpson Wheelus three years ago. He was retired as an instructor at North Georgia Technical College and his love of mechanics carried over into his daily life. He and his sons did much of the rebuilding of Primrose United Methodist Church. His home and church reflected his gifts for design and construction.
Services were at the Primrose United Methodist Church with the Rev. David Pickard and the Rev. Vaden Horne officiating. Interment was at Possum Trot Cemetery, Greenville, Ga.
Survivors include sons, John Mark Wheelus, Gainesville, Albert Wade Wheelus, and David Alexander and Amanda Wheelus, Greenville; brothers, Everett Wheelus, Gainesville, and Jimmy Wheelus, Bowden; sisters, Joyce Wood, Austell, Jewell Young, Moreland, and Joan Wheelus, Loganville; and grandchildren, Amy Marie Daily, Donna Jean Marie Wheelus, Claudia Irene Wheelus, Joshua Richard Sloan Brunn, and Samuel Edward Tucker.
Memorial donations may be made to the Primrose United Methodist Church, in care of Nanny Bell Sitton, 190 Hugh O’Neal Road, Greenville, GA 30222.

Judson Smith
Judson Smith, 88, Moreland, died Oct. 6, 2003. He was born Oct. 25, 1914 in Carroll County, Ga., son of the late Charlie and Willie Head Smith. He served in the Pacific in World War II. He had a wholesale supply business in Moreland for years and was a member of Moreland Baptist Church.
Services were at the McKoon Funeral Home chapel with the Rev. Jerry Eley officiating. Interment was at Oak Hill Cemetery, Newnan.
Survivors include his wife, Myrtle Walker Smith, Moreland; a daughter, Judy and Eric Hicks, Pell City, Ala.; and grandchildren, Kelly Hicks and Laura Hicks, Pell City, Ala.
