Developed by John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods, River Oaks features large estate lots averaging 2-3 acres (up to 8 acres) in a beautiful natural setting of woods, meadows and ponds. Six choice home sites have been set aside for the event, and all six building companies have already signed up to showcase luxury homes. McKinney Builders, Inc., Pebble Hill Homes, RMT Construction, Piedmont Homes, The Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia, and Colonnade Custom Homes are gearing up to dazzle the public with the latest trends and techniques in new home design. The 2004 Street of Dreams is set to run for six consecutive weeks and to begin Sept. 11, 2004. River Oaks is conveniently located off Ga. Highway 74 in Fayette County, two miles from I-85. In addition to offering heavily wooded home sites, River Oaks offers custom estate homes and a personalized homebuilding experience anchored by first class amenities and a magnificent clubhouse, still to be constructed. Custom estate homes will range from 3,500 square feet with prices starting from the $500s. Were very pleased to be working with the John Wieland organization again on a Street of Dreams show, said Bryan Ashbaugh, CEO of Street of Dreams, Inc., the events organizer. John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods hosted the 2001 Street of Dreams at Harbour Point Yacht Club in Gainesville where 45,000 guests toured. River Oaks is a beautiful setting with the largest prime lots weve ever had for a Street of Dreams. It will be a very attractive show. John Wieland Homes and Neighborhoods also participated in the Harbour Point Street of Dreams under its custom home division, Colonnade Custom Homes. We are very excited about Street of Dreams at River Oaks.ÊIt is the perfect combination of great land, beautiful custom homes and convenience, said Ed Woodland, President of Wielands South Atlanta Division. In 2004, the participation of the Home Builders Association of Midwest Georgia will provide an unusual addition to this annual event. The organization will be constructing its Scholarship House as one of the Street of Dreams show homes. A portion of the proceeds from the sale of their show home will support the association's scholarship fund. Tyrone is the second Street of Dreams held in the southern half of the greater metropolitan Atlanta area. In the spring of 2001, a Street of Dreams show was held in Arbor Springs Plantation in Newnan. Mac McKinney of McKinney Builders, Inc. built a show home in that event and is looking forward to the River Oaks show. I secured several custom home contracts from the Arbor Springs event, and expect to do even better in River Oaks, said McKinney. The larger lots will provide more flexibility in the design of my show home. This will be the thirteenth Street of Dreams show held in the Atlanta area. Since its first Atlanta show in 1987, the company has attracted an average of 43,000 visitors to its trademarked shows and contributed tens of thousands of dollars to local charities. The benefiting charity for the River Oaks event has not yet been selected. For more information on River Oaks, please contact Neighborhood Sales Manager Elizabeth Parker at 770-306-2179.
