Classic Tour of Homes starts Saturday

Someone shopping for a home in the next two weeks could end up with a free one.

Pathway Communities’ 19th Annual Classic Tour of Homes is scheduled for Oct. 11-12 and 18-19 from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. The free tour will highlight the regions finest communities, homes and homebuilders. Plus, this year, one lucky tour participant will get one chance to hit a hole-in-one on the SummerGrove golf course in Newnan. Make the shot, and Pathway will give you a new home valued up to $600,000 in any participating Pathway community on the tour.

This year, the Classic Tour showcases five outstanding communities. Over 100 furnished and unfurnished traditional, custom and turn-of-the-century style homes will be on display, making this Atlanta’s largest home tour.

Tour goers will not only see beautiful homes, they will see what makes Newnan, Stockbridge and Cumming three of Atlanta’s most desirable living locations.

“Consumers are spending more time at home and they desire to make the most of their living environments through design and furnishings, said Peggy Sullivan, Pathway Communities vice president of marketing. “Lifestyle changes and a desire for something different are forces influencing the design of many of today’s new homes and the Classic Tour of Homes addresses many of these design trends.”

The highlight of the tour will be Pathway’s Coweta County master-planned communities, Avery Park and SummerGrove.

Located on U.S. Highway 29, Avery Park has an impressive amenity package, including walking trails and paths, a competition-size swimming pool, tennis courts and community parks. Avery Park’s commercial Village Square entrance features a variety of shops, offices and neighborhood services for residents and the surrounding area.

SummerGrove, situated at the intersection of Shenandoah Boulevard and Lower Fayetteville Road in Newnan, is one of Atlanta’s best-selling master-planned communities. The community has over five miles of walking trails and pedestrian paths, a 100-acre lake, tennis courts, a competition-size swimming pool and an 18-hole Golf Digest-ranked, public golf course.

Other communities featured on the tour include Monarch Village in Henry County and Lake Forest and Lake Astoria in Forsyth County.

All master-planned communities on the tour offer a unique technology program, including upgraded wiring for every home, the potential for ultra-fast Internet access and an interactive community Intranet.

Sullivan says that in addition to giving tour goers a glimpse of each community, the tour will exhibit the latest in housing trends — from cutting-edge technology to decorating ideas to innovative floor plan designs.

Make your new home even more beautiful with a $500 certificate from Pike Family Nurseries. One lucky person will be chosen at each community on the tour.
